Before We Met
Two cities, three thousand miles in between. Two paths, countless alternative routes in between.
Two people unawares, one God in between.
Ruth and James met only when they were ready. Living in two cities from the extremities of the continent, the two never met nor were ever aware of each other despite all possible chances from 2018. Each one walking their own paths in life, with little probability of crossing, and through the course of their maturity, each encountered their own hardships that would eventually shape their lives today. This could pretty much be any two people out there — but how did these two ever meet? Ruth and James met each other on the way of serving the Lord.
What began as a shared calling slowly became something neither of them expected. Conversations about ministry turned into conversations about life, and life turned into laughter, honesty, and the quiet comfort of being understood. Distance made every message and every visit feel deliberate — nothing about this was ever by accident, and both of them knew it.
August 3, 2025 is the day our affections were carved into the walls of our hearts, after a first encounter that year that felt as timely as sunlight at dawn. With great hesitation, the couple couldn’t help but begin praying for each other — each one desiring a lifetime commitment to be right with God, and a chance to serve Him side by side. Intimate individual prayers became joint prayers, and prayers became a yearning to be together. And so, on November 15, 2025, we entered into a covenant to be with and to love each other.
From that day forward, what once felt uncertain became clear: this was the person worth building a life with. Every conversation about the future, every prayer said together, and every small sacrifice made along the way only confirmed what both of them already believed — that this was God’s doing from the very beginning. Since then, we’ve been looking forward to the day we tie the knot, grateful for every step that led us here and eager for every one still ahead.

For couples, consider this your date night! We hope you enjoy an evening to celebrate, reconnect, and make memories with us.
Ceremony etiquette: let’s keep the walking-around for the reception, and stay seated while the “I do’s” are happening. We also kindly ask that phones be set aside during the ceremony, so every heart can be fully present.
Please arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony begins — fashionably on time, if you will.

Yes. On-site parking is available for all our guests.
We recommend arriving 30–45 minutes before the ceremony to allow enough time for parking, check-in, and getting settled. The ceremony starts at exactly 3:30 PM.
Yes, both will be held at the same venue.
We kindly ask for an unplugged ceremony so everyone can be fully present with us. Please keep phones and cameras tucked away during the ceremony. Our photographer and videographer will capture all the special moments for you!
